Location
Located in the heart of Whitley Bay, only
50 metres from the sea front and a minutes walk from the centre
of town, the Newquay Lodge is ideally situated for both
contractors and party goers alike. During the week contractors
and business people can be assured of a pleasant stay and a
hearty breakfast. Many varied restaurants providing evening
meals and take-aways are within a couple of minutes walk and a
variety of pubs providing reasonable priced pub grub are close
at hand.
At weekends no hotel is better situated for party goers to enjoy
the fantastic nightlife that the town is renown for. All the
action is around us, restaurants, pubs, clubs and much much
more.
For people visiting to experience the area, we are an ideal
base. Be it just shopping in Newcastle City centre or the Metro
Centre, watching Newcastle United at St James Park, visiting the
now famous Baltic Arts Centre or the Sage for a concert to
visiting some of the numerous historic sites or wonderful rural
and coastal scenery of Northumberland, its all close at hand.
Other attractions include Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke and
Duchess of Northumberland and famous for the location of the
Harry Potter films, Alnwick Gardens with its huge tree house and
fantastic water features, the historic working recreation of a
yesteryear village at Beamish Museum and Hadrian's Wall.
For the sporty as well as the infamous Magpies you can also
watch Jonny Wilkinson play for the Newcastle Falcons or what
about basketball or ice hockey with the Eagles and Vipers. The
area also has many and varied golf courses in really scenic
locations.
