Visit Newcastle from the Newquay Lodge Hotel
If you are visiting Newcastle, 9
miles away from the Newquay Lodge, it is perfectly
situated. Hotels in Newcastle city
centre simply cannot provide the convenience offered by
the Newquay Lodge Hotel.
Located in the heart of Whitley Bay, the hotel is a
short stroll from the golden sands of Whitley Bay beach.
The North East is famed for its stretches of beautiful
beaches and magnificent coastline, and Whitley Bay
boasts some incredible views.
There are many bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants
immediately around the hotel, providing a wide range of
cuisine to suit all budgets.
The North East of England is steeped in history, and the
spectacular castles at Alnwick and Bamburgh simply have
to be seen if you visit Newcastle. ‘Harry Potter’ fans
should pay a visit to Alnwick Castle, where Hogwarts’
School was set. You can also visit Hadrian’s Wall, set
across the rugged Northumbrian landscape.
If you prefer more cosmopolitan pursuits, shopping in
Newcastle is a must. Northumberland Street and Eldon
Square Shopping Centre lie in the centre of Newcastle.
Newcastle Quayside has many bars and restaurants, as
well as the popular Baltic Art Gallery. Alternatively,
why not visit Metrocentre in Gateshead, the largest
indoor shopping centre in the EU?
You can even pay a visit to the Angel of the North, see
the Tyne Bridges or take a walk around the old Castle
Keep when you visit Newcastle. All of these
Newcastle attractions are a short distance from
Whitley Bay by either road or rail.
If sport is your thing, football, rugby league,
basketball and ice hockey are all served by Newcastle
United, the Newcastle Falcons, Eagles and Vipers
respectively. There are also many golf courses in the
region, notably at impressive Slaley Hall which boasts a
Championship-standard course.
So if you would like to visit Newcastle,
why not stay at the perfectly-placed Newquay Lodge
Hotel: the perfect hotel in Whitley Bay?
